Sherborne Abbey
A complete performance of Rachmaninov’s wonderfully atmospheric work with candlelight and incense, coupled with the Latvian composer Uģis Prauliņš’ mass written for the Boys Choir of Riga Cathedral, described as a work with ‘soaring melodies, folklike tunes, drones with religious gravity, and stylized speech… all encompassed in one of the most original and personal settings of the Mass text imaginable.’
