David Briggs Mass for Notre Dame
Plus other works by some of today’s leading British choral composers

Organ David Bednall
A celebration of the music of some of today’s leading British composers, with some influence from across The Channel. As well as a composer, David Briggs is one of today’s leading organists and is particularly well known for his improvisations. His Mass for Notre Dame was commissioned by a British choir for performance in Notre Dame Cathedral; it includes sections of organ improvisation, which will be performed by David Bednall, who is no stranger to Sherborne and who was taught improvisation by David Briggs. The programme is completed by ‘the best of British’ – music by our leading contemporary composers who have all made huge contributions to today’s choral music repertoire.
