Handel’s famous oratorio needs no introduction! Premiered in Dublin in 1742, Messiah became a huge hit and now receives world wide recognition as one of the best loved oratorios of all time. A regular, often annual, favourite with many choirs, it is in fact several years since it was last performed in the Abbey, so not to be missed. A complete performance with top-class soloists and a period orchestra, this is a great way to start the Advent and Christmas season.
